Essdee Soft Hand Printing Roller – Flexible Brayer for Lino and Block Printing
The Essdee Soft hand printing rollers are flexible brayers designed for lino printing, block printing and other printmaking techniques. Thanks to their softer rubber compound, they adapt easily to slightly uneven surfaces and provide smooth, consistent ink coverage with minimal pressure.
The roller is made from soft EPDM rubber with a hardness of 40 Shore, allowing excellent ink pickup and transfer. This makes the roller ideal for inking lino blocks, woodcut plates and other relief printing surfaces. Because of its forgiving and flexible surface, the Essdee Soft roller is a popular choice for both beginners and experienced printmakers.
The durable construction features an aluminum core, full steel axle and long-lasting bearings, ensuring smooth operation and precise control during the inking process.
The impact-resistant polypropylene handle is ergonomically designed and includes a practical hanging hole for storage. When placed upside down, the handle also works as a support stand, keeping the roller clean and preventing it from touching the work surface.
For larger print areas, the 25 cm and 30 cm rollers feature a dual-handle design. The two handles allow more even pressure across wide surfaces, making them ideal for large-format printmaking projects.
Essdee Soft rollers are compatible with both water-based and oil-based inks, making them versatile tools for a wide range of relief printing techniques.
